Autism Home Services Through Achievement Balance

Many of our clients and families don’t yet know that the Achievement Balance locations in the DFW area offer Autism home services and community based services.

We want to continue our educational content by teaching our communities about the many Autism home services that Achievement Balance offers, the skills taught, in-home session models, and commitment.

All of our Autism home services and models include an experienced behavior technician coming to your home to conduct therapy focused on your child and family’s goals. These goals can be concentrated on many important skills and learning zones.

A few examples of these skills are:

  • Language and communications skills
  • Motor skills
  • Reduced anxiety
  • Organizational skills
  • Daily living actions and skills
    • Feeding
    • Toileting
    • Mobility
  • Alternatives to challenging behaviors
  • Regulating emotions
  • Increasing self-esteem
  • Better social interactions
  • And many more

In addition to the varied skills practiced, each and every Autism home service and community program is overseen by a board-certified behavior analyst or BCBA. This BCBA will individualize your treatment plan to align with your goals.

Your BCBA will make recommendations for treatment, help parents or caretakers, and guide the in-home behavioral therapy to the best possible outcome. And with multiple levels of care, or session models, your Autism home care can cater to your unique needs, timelines, and skills.

Achievement Balance’ Autism Home Service Session Models: Intensive, Focused Care or Parent Support

Intensive Model

With the Intensive Model, your child will have the highest level of therapy. This includes 5 to 6 hours of monthly BCBA supervision, 5-6 hours of weekly program updates from your BCBA, and 20 to 30 hours of weekly therapy implementation from one of our behavior therapists.

Focused Care Model

The Focused Care Model offers 2 to 4 hours of monthly parent training from your BCBA, 5 to 6 hours of weekly program updates, and 6 to 15 hours of weekly focused care therapy from one of our behavior therapists.

The Focused Care Model is usually for children who have had ABA Therapy services in the past but may need support for maintaining the acquired skills. This program offers parents a more active role in managing the child’s day to day.

Parent Support Model

Parent Support Model features 1 or 2 monthly visits from your BCBA and attends to the parent only. This is done by discussing parent training, acquisition of targeted skills, and goals in various environments.

The Parent Support Model is most often used by families who have completed the Focused Care Model.
